Blue Montana Scarf

Finally, I can make something from knit. Here is my first useful knitting project. Of course beside those squares that I made as assignment for my knitting online class with sensei Lenny. At that time, I only could make square from garter stitch, stockinette, and basket-weave stitch, LOL.

But now is so different.......

I made this scarf special for my hunny bunny sweetie *my beloved husband*. I give this scarf as his birthday present. I have been given this scarf this morning and he love it, he feel surprised and ask to me when i have been knitted that *top secret meet time to revealed* LOL. Actually I started to make it in the early of August, need 2 weeks to finish it (need so long time as my speed knit still in beginner level). And the secret is that I tried to knit this scarf behind my husband back *he never known when I knitted it*, only when he has been slept and in free time at my workplace. I said it "struggle for love" LOL.

I know that made a crochet or knitting project for man is not as simple as we thought. We can force our man to use what we have been made for him. The only one that we can do is ask the man what he would like to use if we knit or crochet for him. I knit this scarf as his request long time ago *before we get married* that someday he want me to knit a scarf or hat to him so he can use those when he climb the mountain *he love hiking so much*. Then, i decided to knit this blue scarf for my love...

I got the pattern from Craig in Loop Knits. He called it "Montana Scarf". I choose this pattern due to its simplicity, love that simple ribbing.. No fringe, I tried to make it not too tawdry with fringe. I only made about 1,5 m so it only took one and a half of Bulky Yarn. Blue yarn as my husband's favorite color. I hope in the event of extreme cold at the mountain, you could wrap it around your nose and mouth – even over your head, if you wanted. And while it’s large and warm, it’s light and comfortable. Hopefully.....
